Again, it was a pleasure to work with SilentRevolt. She made an amazing cover and realised the small changes I had in mind perfectly.
- Octavian Todirut
Octavian was professional, responsive and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. I felt safe and confident that my projected was in the best hands possible. Every single one of his designs were intelligently put together and he never "cut corners." I could tell that he takes great pride in his work and truly cares about the happiness of the people he is working for. He was always there to answer my questions, walk me through steps that I needed to do on my own and always did his best to ensure that I felt supported and confident while working with him - which I most certainly did. He was also kind and patient when I had sudden strokes of inspiration that caused me to tweak my vision for the design. I could not be happier with the experience and outcome of his work and I look forward to working with him on any and all of my design needs in the future. Feel confident in working with this designer, he is an absolute gem.

I write grown up historical vampire fiction that is NOT aimed at twilight and vampire diaries fans though they are not excluded. My target audience are 18-40 year old's who love Bram Stoker, Dan Brown, Stephen King, Anne Rice or Charlaine Harris.
The book is set in 17th century Hungary and centers around an extremely beautiful and insane Vampire Countess who is running out of time to save someone who is dear to her. Bathory was a real person who loved to torture her victims and legend has it she used to bathe in their blood but that is not the point of the book so I don't want to focus on it too much.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?

Title: Bathory's Secret
Subtitle: When all the time in the world is not enough...
I want to evoke mystery in a historical setting as opposed to the classical black, white and red covers with the Gothic fonts that are so common to vampire books. I want the vampire angle but need it to be a little "grown up". I don't know if there's copyright issue with the pic of the Countess provided, I've used it more for inspiration for the period because I'm not that enamored with it. I like Dan Brown's covers a lot.
I want the cover to focus on the vampire aspect of the book but also the historical settings cos I love medieval and renaissance drawings.
I would prefer to avoid copyright free stock imagery as it can be used by more than one artist and I would not want an instance where my book could be similar to somebody else's or a random add campaign. Copyright free old paintings and illustrations are fine. I don't mind purchasing an image's copyright if it is reasonable.
This book is about mystery suspense and re-examination of a character which has been reproduced to death. I am suggesting she had a secret beside the fact that she was a serial killer, a secret that made her a centuries old vampire.
