Student Loan CPA.com is a website is exclusively for members of the student loan generation. If you are one of those people, you know that money isn’t what you thought it was! The purpose of the website is to help you think about money in a way that allows you to pursue your dream life. It is about how to earn, save, spend, and invest your money to create the right kind of wealth - yes, even if you have hundreds of thousands in debt. Whether your ambition is to become a CEO, business owner, professional, or a stay-at-home parent, you’ll need the right knowledge and mindset or money will continue to stand in your way. Message from the owner: My name is Albert Okagbue, and I am a Certified Public Accountant. I specialize in financial planning for people with high levels of debt, typically recent college graduates with student loans. My writing on this blog is about building smarter wealth. Graduating college with a large amount of debt creates a financial picture that is relatively new for young adults to have. In the past, college grads started from “zero”, but today we start negative. We are forced to weigh student loan payments against buying a home, buying a car, getting married and/or having children, and launching businesses and not-for-profit ventures. I know what that’s like personally, because I graduated with over $100,000 in student loans myself. In my first job I only managed to save $50-100 per month after covering my expenses. The articles on this site reflect the thinking I used to create my approach to managing money which I use for myself and my clients. I call it The Cerebral MethodSM and you’ll learn more about it later. I am focused on financial planning, NOT just student loans, so there are a wide variety of topics covered here. You also won’t see me complain about student loans or play the victim. While those might be valid perspectives (the media certainly thinks so), they are empowering for student loan debtors. My goal is to expose you to a sophisticated empowering approach to managing your finances from day one, and help get you started doing it. I have a leaning towards entrepreneurship, and believe that not only is it within reach for all, it is a useful attitude for overcoming financial obstacles. I also have an above average tolerance for financial risk, which I believe benefits people who are serious about accumulating wealth. (To learn more about me, click here for my biography.) This is the only personal finance blog I know which is written by a Certified Public Accountant in the business of financial planning, so I imagine my views are a bit unconventional. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading, but also learn something useful. Student Loan CPA.com is a website is exclusively for members of the student loan generation. What's your vision?
The book that is being created is a conversation about budgeting and how to effectively do this whether you are a young professional, broke, or just spend a lot of money. This book is short. A total of 22 pages not including introductions, indexes, prefaces, etc. The title of the book is still being determined, however this does not affect the overall design (in my opinion. Designers may disagree. Please do! And if so, tell me why) Here is the Title of the Book: Stop Budgeting, Start Living Because the focus of the book is the content inside, I would prefer something that is minimalistic that focuses on the color scheme in the Student Loan CPA and Cerebral FInancial Strategies logo (I will include a color logo. ) I saw something on a website about minimalist movie posters that I really enjoyed. If someone could fit something like what is in the link below into a book cover, I would love that. Below is the link. Minimalist Movie Posters: http://www.fastcodesign.com/1672636/minimalist-posters-that-reduce-your-favorite-movies-to-basic-shapes#1 I would also like to know if there is a subtle way to include the logo that is attached in the cover, or on the back of the book. Money is usually a sensitive subject for many, so I would love to see the cover as something that feels open, warm and embracing when you see it. The colors in the logo are green, yellow, white and black. (You will see this in the attached logos). Be as creative as you would like. It doesn't necessarily have to be minimalistic either. We are up for anything.
Please be as creative as you want. I just don't want to have a busy over-active cover. I look forward to seeing what you have to offer!!! Thank you very much for your help. Also, please note that this logo is Service Marked. I included one without so it wouldn't get in the way of the design process. Please make sure there is room for an ISBN number. Barcode, etc. The following links may help with inspiration as well. www.studentloancpa.com http://www.fastcodesign.com/1672636/minimalist-posters-that-reduce-your-favorite-movies-to-basic-shapes#1
