About The Author Dr. Jennifer Cox Dr. Cox is a licensed professional counselor practicing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She works with adults suffering from various mental health concerns, but specializes in trauma and working with the severely mentally ill. She is an advisor and contributor to the Diagnositic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders—5th Edition and her current passion is the co-founding of a mental health foundation called Pier 34. In her spare time she enjoys reading and writing, but mostly spending time with her family of eight.
