What's your vision?
This project is a book cover for a new book, "The Echidna's Scale". This is a fantasy book involving a boy/young man on a quest to acquire a scale from the echidna, a hald woman/half snake monster. There are four possible scenes to provide the artwork for the cover: 1) the hero and his three friends, two female and one male, standing on the side of a volcano located in a cold, wintery mountain range setting. There will be a cave entrance visible in the volcano above them, and they will be standing on the edge of a small grove of trees. 2) The hero will be in a cave, his right hand glowing brightly as it holds a sword, facing a minotaur who holds a spear and a shield. The hero's three friends will stand behind him in the cave. 3) The hero will be sitting on a wooden cross-beam beneath a dock in a harbor, his feet dangling in the water, and he will be talking to a beautiful mermaid. 4) The hero and his friends will be standing beneath a stone arch, looking beyond it to a small, lush, garden-like valley that will be illuminated by the light of dozens of glowing pixies flying through the air. Any of these should be 9" tall and 13" wide. The Title is The Echidna's Scale. It is the second book in the series Alchemy's Apprentice. The author's name is Jeffrey Quyle.
