michael.hambsch got their new book cover by running a design contest:
The Inconspicious Man - (e)Book Cover
Check out michael.hambsch's Book cover contest…
Young black singer Vanna Morris returns to her home city for a concert. She's a pop idol who has won a casting show like american idol. A murder happens and she gets in danger. Only The Inconspicious Man (kind of a superhero her father told her storys about when she was young) can help her. But only Vanna perceives this strange man. To all other people he seems invisible.
Young Adult and New Adult readers. Hopefully fans of Superheroes, Mystery Storys, Harry Potter. 13 to 35 would be the most, mostly female but also appealing to males.
white background. graphic novel style. main character is a guy like the invisible man - but he's visible. people just don't perceive him. He's the inconspicious man. Inspiration could come from the font Docteur Atomic. So the main character could be seen as a vanishing silhouette. maybe addition of Vanna Morris as a David Mack like painting in the background (purple / black colours)
What to avoid
a too realistic look
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
michael.hambsch collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
