I´m a german author and I write novels about Lovestories and Dramas.
What's your vision?
Lovestory and Drama author is looking for a cover (e-book and print version) for a German Drama. Book-Title: Mit dir gingen die Farben (I think the English Name for the Title is "The Colors gone with you") Author-Name: André Berlekamp Short story description: The portrait painter Mark Roger meets the ballet dancer Melanie and on the same day, the two end up in bed. He promises to portray her. Description of the cover: I imagine two covers. 1. The portrait painter stands before his easel and mourns for his past. He leans his head either to the screen or he just stands in front of it. In the background is the studio. Perhaps an old brown leather sofa. Is centered above the name of the author (André Berlekamp) and including the title (Mit dir gingen die Farben). Bottom right stand the word (Roman). The cover should be in black and white and take up the depression of the painter. Not too dark. It will be used by women anyway. (Maybe somewhere a bit toned. Facial detail of the eyes at the top of the proposal. The eyes were then blue). or: 2. A woman is walking with her back facing along a path. She has long, blonde hair and is wearing a white dress (like a nightgown about knee-length). Where she is walking along, the color disappears from the image. Or do you have another idea. It would be nice if still somehow the color disappears from the image. Please Gripping her death and the blindness is not obvious in the cover on. The reader should not be able to see it at first glance. E-Book Cover: JPEG Ratio: 8: 5 (1.6) and 2500 pixels (on the short side) RBG color mode (I think the english name for this is "true color") Print version: CreateSpace Cover Ratio: 4.72 "* 7.48" (12 cm * 19 cm) Sizes: (front 12,3 cm; middle 2,1 cm; back 12,3 cm * 19,6 cm >my own Cover<) Your front cover will incorporate: 1. The author name: "André Berlekamp" 2. Title: "Mit dir gingen die Farben" 3. Genre: "Roman" Your back cover design will incorporate: 1.
I have already designed a cover by myself, but it looks very unprofessional. So you can see how I imagined the division of the cover. It also can be real Pictures.
