(1) A cover for an ebook (that could also be used on a paperback or dust jacket). (2) the spine and back for an eventual printed version, which will be a 5.25" x 8.00" paperback with about 300 pages. The title is The Belinda Triangle, a thriller set in the year 2031. About 2/3 of the story is set on board a cruise ship in the Caribbean. The tone is absurd dystopia tinged with black humor.
My original idea was a cruise ship with lights on at dusk heading toward the top right of the page, where storm clouds are gathering after the sun has just set. Maybe a lightning bolt in one of the clouds. Maybe foliage on a hill in the foreground. The attached file I created at canva.com is the closest I could get to the desired tone with their available images for the ebook cover.
