What's your vision?
This design contest will be for the cover my first book, "Tales of a Neverending Fantasy: Episode I" by steeltamashii. The main theme of the story is internal and external struggle, overcoming the odds and limitations we place on ourselves everyday. The cover should definitely reflect this theme. My idea is to have a knight, suited in battle armor and sword in hand, kneeling in the middle of the illustration, looking contemplative while dark purple and gold clouds loom in around him. I'd like the designers to be creative in adding in a depiction of the external struggle, perhaps a dragon or other sort of monster (or something else). The cover must have the title ("Tales of a Neverending Fantasy: Episode I") and author name ("steeltamashii") incorporated in the cover, whether it simply be on the top and bottom of the cover or incorporated into the illustration itself.
I attached a copy of the manuscript for the book, along with the logo concept design i was toying with and a picture that is similar to what I'm looking for. Please use these to help make the cover design.

And then… they selected a winner!
He was my first choice due to me liking his past projects and he responded very quickly! I had no deadline, told him as much, and he still completed it all within about a week. Constantly asked for feedback and was willing to make any adjustments needed. Despite that only one adjustment was needed because he took my description and immediately turned it into something I absolutely loved.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
