We are a small UK publisher of self-help and personal development books, manuals and audio CDs. We are looking for a book jacket design (for print) that includes front cover, back cover and spine.
What's your vision?
We are looking for a book jacket design (for print) that includes front cover, back cover and spine. Main title: The Tao of Storytelling Sub-title: 30 Ways to Create Empowering Stories to Live by Author: Claire Taylor Size:Height 198mm x Width 137mm Approx length: 192 pages (which will require a spine depth of 13.8mm) Audience: Adult professionals – the goal of the book is to inspire professional people and encourage conversation and self-enquiry. It is an inspiring and poignant ‘wisdom memoir’. Look and Feel: Discovery, Wisdom, Empowering & Inspiring. Thuoghts/Ideas: Parchment, old manuscript and gold appeal or sepia (see link below) or more contemporary designs (see moody sky link below), celtic hint - as some of memoir was in Ireland/some UK - we are also entirely open to new suggestions. Likes: Include ‘some’ warm colours – reds, mauve/purple but can be hints or splashes doesn’t have to be dominant – we’re open to ideas, Likes the following: http://www.fixabook.com/copycat-covers/serious-sepia http://www.fixabook.com/copycat-covers/big-moody-sky Back jacket copy and barcode will follow - please feel free to use the 'lore ipsum' for now. Please leave space for a photograph of author – will be head/shoulders only The book will also be available as an eBook - so a 'sister' cover that works in thumbnail format at 72dpi would also be a big big plus.
The spine depth may change before the final book goes to press in September, so final tweaks may be needed after competition closes.
