What's your vision?
A book cover for a novel to be published in two parts - see the two attached briefs (one for each book); and Publishing details in 'Other' below. I will need to work with the winner of the competition at some time in the near future to design a cover for the second book
UPDATE: A few additional pointers: 1 - In the first book, Beyond The Black Land, the main character is just a boy. His only clothing would be a rough wrap around his waist; he would have quite wild hair (afro). 2. The first book is centred around a journey along the Nile, so could feature a boat, palm trees, farm fields etc, as well as temples etc. 3. No camels please - although very common in Egypt now, they were not around in 450BC. 4. For future information of the winner, in the second book the main character has grown into a young man. He is tall and long limbed, but sinewy rather than muscular. 5. The second book is set sailing the Mediterranean seas (Not Egypt), and then goes beyond the Pyrenean mountains, into Gaul (modern day France). So the cover can and should be very different from the first, while of course keeping similar styles and font types. Hope that helps! The exact book dimensions are yet to be established, but each book is around x300 pages. Publication date for the first book 'Beyond The Black Earth' is expected to be October 2016 (but the cover will be required for proof copies by 1st July 2016). Publication date for 'Beyond the Pyrene' is expected to be December 2016 (but again I will need to commission a cover for that one (separate to this competition) so that it can also go for publication of proof copies by 1st July 2016.

And then… they selected a winner!
Twinartdesign, and in particular, Trif Paul, the designer, deserve a 5-star rating!
My latest project, a cover for my novel, Be Bold, was completed within a reasonable time and satisfied all my requirements.
Be Bold is a sequel to Be Silent and Be Good, which were designed several years ago.
The designer had no trouble picking up the ropes and grasped my vision and requirements immediately and created a product I can be proud of.
It was great, once again, to work with Trif.
Tip of the hat to the entire Twinartdesign & 99D teams!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
