What's your vision?
I'm looking for a book cover for my fantasy/romance/women's fiction novel. It is a first in a series. My target audience is adult women. The story is loosely based on Celtic mythology. I don't have a set idea of what I'm looking for although I would focus on her jewelry making, her shop and/or her appearance. I'm open to any ideas, but I do what it to have a Celtic feel to it. I'm not looking for a 'fairy' looking character or skimpy clothing. I'm like to think of the style I'm going for is classy. The story takes place in the real world for the most part so I'm not looking for a fantastical setting. The Author name is Belinda M Gordon Subtitle: The King's Jewel Series
My main character, Tressa, is a Sidhe, tall and willowy with metallic copper hair, pearly skin, pointed ears with no earlobe and blue green eyes that look like multifaceted gemstones. She should look like a normal women except for those things listed here. She is a jewelry maker who uses her gemstones for their healing property. She owns a shop called Tressa's Treasures, which is also the name of the book. She sells products imported from Ireland and her jewelry in the shop. The other main characters, all human, include Tressa's shop assistant and her abusive husband, Alexander—her love interest— and his daughter, 4 year old Sophia. During the course of the story Tressa makes a bracelet for Alexander carved out of an agate crystal with blue marbling. I've added some photos I used for inspiration. *The first is my vision of Tressa with out her Sidhe attributes mentioned above. Her hair should be curly. *The next is a glider which is a favorite spot in the book. It should have a lake in front of it and a large tree beside it where some pixies live. * *next is how I visualized the style of the sign for Tressa's Treasures the shop in the book. * The next 2 pictures are examples of what the block Tressa's store is on should look like. *next is an example of the elven/celtic style I have in mind *next is a composite of some book covers for style purposes *next is a picture of what my pixie should look like (pixies are about 3", look like toddlers and have dragonfly wings I don't have the rights to any of these pictures. They are only meant as inspiration. Summary: Tressa, tired of the disappointment in her brethren’s eyes, lives in self-imposed exile in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Happy with her new life, she accepts that she will never fulfill the Prophecy of the King’s Jewel and becomes engrossed in the human drama around her. When evidence surfaces that unfriendly fae may be nearby Tressa is surprised to learn many fae still believe she is the King’s Jewel of the prophecy. Will the evil fae who renounce the prophecy find Tressa in her place of refuge? If her enemies should find her, can she protect the people she loves? And what part does the dark eyed stranger and his daughter play in her future? Above all- is it possible that, even after losing faith in her destiny, she will guide the Sidhe race back into heaven’s good graces?

Wesley always does a tremendous job. This time I also asked for some small edits on previous covers (Title changes) but he went above and beyond and did other great changes to those covers as well. Always a pleasure to work with him and to watch him work as well! :) Highly highly recommended.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
