I'd like a cover for the book, "Tales from the Palace of the Fairy King". It's a book of new fairy tales, told in classic style. In seven interwoven stories princes do battle for honor and for love, princesses seek their destinies, and farmers' sons discover the world in an age of fairies and imps and real magic.

The book is intended for children ages 11+, but the stories have a deeper meaning that can be enjoyed by adults as well. In fact, although it's technically a children's book, it may be read by more adults than children.

The fairy tale genre is similar to the fantasy genre, but fantasy is often dark. The stories in this book are dark in some places, but have an overall bright tone.

I've attached two graphics that capture the mood well. These are copyrighted images that don't belong to me. I asked the artist to license them to me, but he said no, so they're just to give you an idea of something I liked.

I've also attached a royalty-free graphic I bought to make the current (unattractive) cover. It's not nearly as good as the other two, but it's a similar mood. For the current cover, I used tree silhouettes to frame it. I like the way that part looks, but I'm more interested in your ideas.
