Title: Voices from Near and Far Subtitle: A Collection of Poems
Born in Sidan, Lebanon, Basam's family migrated to the United States in 1947. Early on he lived in West Virginia and then moved near relatives in Oklahoma. He went to high school and college in Tulsa and graduated later from Baylor University Dental School. He and his wife Janet "Nunu" Farhood retired to Oklahoma City where she opened NuNu's Mediterranean Cafe'.
Basam Farhood tells the story of his family migrating to the U.S. from the Mediterranean coastal town of Sidan, Lebanon. The rest of the book is divided into four sections of poems he has written over a lifetime of loving his Arab homeland and his adopted homeland in America. He loves where he is from and has grown to the country that has given him great opportunities.
Americans who love Lebanese and Arab culture. People who appreciate what it took to learn a new language and a new culture.
Book cover type
The cover needs to capture the fact that it is Mediterranean and Lebanese/Arab. I'm uploading a mural painted by a relative that I would like as the front cover image. It is framed in brick, use them or not. I am also uploading a few historic images to use in an artful way.
What to avoid
Not really, this book is very nostalgic for the author and his wife.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Allsbury collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
