Home page main image - first thing people will see when they land on our page. It should be based on the attached graphic. We like this conceptually but its not crisp enough (both in terms of graphical quality and concept). Here is what we want it to say:
1) Our customers' data is noisy
2) The long tail has value - here are the three data points in thirty thousand that matter (for instance)
3) We can help focus customer resources where they can do the most good.
I'm envisioning a chart where the left hand side is a crazy mess, then moving toward the right we apply our magic and reveal that patterns exist under the mess. In addition to revealing patterns, we'd like to show that there are places in that pattern that matter most. So if the pattern was 2,3,2,3,4,3,8,2,3,2,3,4,3,8,2,3,2,3,4,3,8 . . . then the "8"s should be revealed and underscored in some way. I think the highlighting can be as simple as an arrow or circle that looks like it was written in pencil on a printed out chart as someone examined the chart and found a revealing piece of information in those 8s and circled them so they could run down the hall and show someone else what they'd discovered.
