What's your vision?
I need a graphic that can be shared on Twitter for a sweepstakes I'm holding. It needs to be eye-catching and representative of my brand. I write science fiction. I'd like for the graphic to have a retro-scifi or retro comic feel. My brand emphasizes space, scifi and, oddly enough, tentacles. I also REALLY like robots, though I haven't brought them into my brand--I could. If you take a look at my website and twitter and facebook pages you will quickly get a feel for the quirky way I represent myself. Links will be below. Now, that said, if you see some other element of my brand that you want to jump from--go for it. The graphic just needs to be good and get attention. Here is what the graphic needs to say: "Two chances to win! Retweet this tweet to be entered to win a 16 GB iPad Air 2." There needs to be an image of an iPad Air 2. "Follow the link above to qualify to win an 11 inch MacBook Air." There needs to be an image of a Macbook air. Those two things, the prizes, need to be the primary focus of the advert. Then, at the bottom, a bit smaller, it needs to say, "This sweepstakes brought to you by Blue Bedlam Science Fiction, publisher of the breakout science fiction adventure novel, FLUENCY." You will find the Blue Bedlam logo below. Use that and a thumbnail size image of the book, which you will also find below. We want them to be compelled by color and graphics to get a good look at this stuff and to take the time to RT and follow that link.
******NEW NOTES FOR ALL DESIGNERS***** Master Notes for every designer—specific/personal notes may follow. Your ability to follow the directions will factor into my final decision because you are all quite skilled. You may also note that whoever wins will likely get other jobs from me. I have several more projects that need doing in the near future. I may end up working with more than one of you as well, depending on how this goes. I’m going to need business cards, bookmarks and web pages as well as other ads. Read very carefully please: 1.) Simplify and declutter. Nothing unnecessary to distract the eye from the message. 2.) Change the text across the top to: “TWO WAYS TO WIN.” Make that stand out in some way, either with bright, bold text or a bar across the top of the ad. (note the change in wording!) 3.) The prizes MUST dominate the image. Most of you need to enlarge them. Again, keep it simple. People will recognize what they are. 4.) My book should look like a book (as Galeto has done—good work!) but should be larger (More like the size Melanie D has used—thank you!) Again—the prizes should dominate, but the book should be noticeable, though not the hard sell, here. Remember this will be seen on phone screens. This is for Twitter. 5.) The headline AND the text about the sweepstakes need to be married/related some way—either with color or font. 6.) The text about the prize options: (needs to be related in some way to the headline) Each option needs a number. NOTE THE CHANGE IN TEXT for option 2. Like this: 1 Retweet this tweet to be entered to win a 16 GB iPad Air 2. 2 Follow the link in the tweet to qualify to win an 11 inch MacBook Air. 7.) Perhaps the word “and” in the middle of the graphic to emphasize that there are 2 options. (optional, depending on how it would work with your graphic. 8.) Color schemes should stay with my branding and be eye catching—specifically blues, pinks, purples and black/white, possibly with pops of other colors—pull from colors in the book. This needs to flow well with my brand 9.) CHANGE the text at the bottom to: “This sweepstakes sponsored by Blue Bedlam Science Fiction, publisher of the Amazon #1 Best-Selling Science Fiction Adventure Novel: FLUENCY” 10.) To save on distractions you may decide to delete the blue bedlam logo. It may make the image too busy. 11.) I realize these are a lot of changes. But if you work in advertising, this is pretty typical stuff. Good luck! Enjoy the process! ****OLDER NOTES***** These are the sites where you will quickly get a feel for my personal brand: My site: http://www.JenniferFoehnerWells.com (click around on the various pages to see different images I use) Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JenniferFoehnerWells Twitter: https://twitter.com/Jenthulhu Also, there are multiple versions of the blue bedlam logo--some all black, some all white, so grab the version you need for your color scheme. I'll leave it to you to get a workable image of a macbook air and an ipad air 2. Have fun! Jen
