New app design wanted for Todo App

An iOS based productivity application. This product functions primarily as a Todo Application which is designed to help people organize and keep track of their tasks and help them ensure that they prioritise and execute them in time. Our Todo App is designed to be one of the best user friendly and practically useful todo app designed for the iphone/ipod and iPAD. This app has been programmed to include a powerful set of useful features that makes task management simple and fun for almost everyone from all walks of life. Our Todo App helps you focus on what matters most and allows you to integrate the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology on your own. This is basically a contest for the most innovative design :) We did the first GUI of the App, and now we think other people can do MUCH better! On successful completion of this Job we will be in contact with you for some of our upcoming projects. We can use your brains and talents for some of the elements that we can use from simple App designs, app icons, logos and so on. So we believe this would be a small step to establish a great working relationship towards the journey of a thousand miles. So we urge you to bring out the best of the best in you :-)

The design should be simple, elegant and cool to convey the concept of the app. The design should portray the fact that the app is simple and fun to use. All designs must conform to the iPhone application specifications with Retina display. We are looking for a remarkable, vibrant and intuitive mobile user experience that will bring our vision to life. We would urge you to think out of the box and make it support distinctly different from other todo apps in the appstore. Our goal is to have our app rated as the best iphone productivity app and also reviewed to be in the Top 10 list in the Appstore productivity section. We intend to project “Our Todo App’s” mascot as a cute bird (colourful and bubbly) which should be a friendly looking bird that is intended to be the users best buddy (or personal assistant) reminding about all the important things that he/she needs “todo” in his/her life. So the design of the best character (mascot) is also a matter of priority and this aspect would be a deciding factor for determining the winner. Please find attached the details of the Todo application. Design should include all details showed in the attachment, and represent them in a creative, interesting and unique manner. What is required? The contest requires the following separate deliverable items: • Detailed design of the UI screens mentioned in the attachment as PSD. (You may submit only one screen if you want, on successful feedback you may submit the second or so.) • Icons and BG images (PSD and PNG) If you as "the designer" would think that any other screens would be good to be included, you are welcome to include the same and we will be more than happy to consider the same in your bid. Target Audience is anyone and everyone who has an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. Since the intended audience includes people who are serious about managing their time and tasks like Sr. Managers, executives, housewives, students, and people of all ages, the theme of the app should fit the universal crowd and should be elegant, non-complicated and fun too. That should not limit the usage of captivating color schemes. The app is being developed for iPhone initially. Hence, we have to keep the limitations of the platform in mind while designing. However, it should be possible to extend the design later for iPad and Android as well. It should be kept in mind that the UI elements should not be confusing to the user. As a mobile application, the scope for a tutorial or help text is very limited. Apple’s design philosophy of keeping things simple has to be strictly followed.
